Charania shared a behind-the-scenes story that broke Luka Doncic Trade News about three podcasts with a young man.
Dallas – Shortly before midnight on February 1st, ESPN Senior NBA Insider Shamscharania pressed the “post” button and sent a shockwave into the world of sports.
His post on X: “Breaking: The Dallas Mavericks are trading Luka Donsic, Maxi Kleber and Marquiev Morris with the Los Angeles Lakers for Anthony Davis, Max Christie and the first round picks in 2029, sources report ESPN.
To date, it has been viewed over 105 million times.
The effects of trade are still felt in a month and a half, and at first glance it appears to be endless. It’s a news cycle that never ends. Fans have chanted and displayed signs of “Fire Nico (Harrison)” in the wildest places.
From February 1st, it was now rough for Mavericks fans.
The gravity of Charania’s post was of paramount importance, and he knew it too. In a conversation with the young man and three podcasts (formerly the old man and three current coaches JJ Reddick), Charania gave a behind-the-scenes explanation of what it is like to break the most monumental trade in NBA history.
“My hands were shaking,” Charania said.
Charania told Kenny Beacham and Cam Johnson that she turned around around 11:05pm, saying, “Something’s going on with the Lakers and Mavericks.” Charania said she began digging out sources and fragments of the three teams’ trade.
“According to two or three people, I’ve heard that (Jalen) Hood Sifino will go to Utah – that’s a three-team deal. Marquiev Morris will also go to the Lakers and Maxi Clever. And I said all of these pieces, “What is the trade?”
Charania said, fourth or fifth, he got all the details of the deal, but he had to make another call.
“This is f—–real,” asked Charania. “And the guy was like, ‘Yeah, that’s real.’ And my hands had to make sure all the details were correct.
Seven minutes later, Charania sent the post to X at 11:12pm

“My phone was a mess,” Charania said in the aftermath of the news.
“We had up to 300 text messages,” Charania said.
Everyone had the same message: Have you been hacked? OK? Has someone picked up your phone?
Charania said she only responded to about five people over the phone. He has specifically nominated two on his podcast. The sports center producer has contacted him and went into the air, with Pat McAfee’s show regularly appearing in the NBA storyline.
