Stevenston’s World Wheelchair Day 3 was four sessions in a total of 16 games, with Brazil’s first victory at this level.
Group A team played six games in full. In the morning, the so-called undefeated Norway met last year’s silver medalist, China. Wang Meng and Jinqiao Yang fired and led the game 7-2 on a break. They won 11-4 on the seven ends to earn their third victory of the week. In the afternoon, the Chinese duo met the US. The Americans led the game 4-2 at halftime, eventually winning 9-6, earning their fourth victory of the week.

The Americans won a 7-3 victory over Switzerland in the morning. The team was tied up 3-3 at halftime, but the US scored a single for victory at the end of every second half.
Norway made up for the morning defeat when they defeated Finland 9-3pm. Finland had gathered their first victory of the week before the week they won against Brazil 6-5.
Finland’s Ritva Lampinen later said, “It was a very fun game because I’ve played against Brazil before in Finland and it was exciting to see what I learned about curling.”
In the afternoon, Brazil had another opportunity to win the first victory of the event, and they did it against Japan. The Japanese were leading the game 10-1 at halftime, while Brazil came back into the game by winning a perfect six at the end of the fifth. In the seventh, Brazil raised another big score on the board, leading the Five – 12-11, entering the eighth end. At the end, Brazil stole a single and won the game, winning 13-11, recording their first victory in mixed doubles ice for the World Wheel Chair.

Group B teams had a total of four games.
Latvia met the Czech Republic in the afternoon, hoping for a third victory in the event. The team was tied up 5-5 after the sixth inning, tied 6-6 from the age of 8. In the extra end, the Czech Republic had a final stone advantage, winning two to win the game 8-6. It was the Czechs’ third victory of the week, the second victory, and even more.

In the evening, the Czech Republic had the opportunity to win their fourth victory when they faced Denmark. The Czechs maintained their excellent shape from the afternoon, but once again won with an extra 6-5 ending.
Italy, a bronze medalist last year, was looking for their first championship victory when they played Estonia in the afternoon. Italy started the game hard and led 6-1 on a break. Estonia returned to the game with two scores in fifth place and three scores in the seventh, but Italy ultimately won 8-6.

Canada won the only match of the day against Poland 11-1 in the afternoon, keeping the perfect record intact with four wins and no losses.
Six games were held in Group C.
Slovakia played Spain in the morning and hoped to collect the third victory of the week. The game went all the way to the end when Slovakia stole two to win 8-6.
After that game, Spain’s Bertrand Tramont said, “They were a great team and we were very close to the score, so we enjoyed Slovakia a lot. And we arrived at the extra end and we are happy with the performance.”
His teammate Anna Nadal Rodriguez spoke about her overall experience with Stephen Ston.
Spain had another match against England in the evening. Stewart Pimblett and Karen Aspey led that game 4-3 at halftime, winning 10-3 on the seven ends.
Pinblet then said, “It was a really good victory and we had to dig deeper. They’ve only curled for a few years. They’re doing really well. It’s nice to see a country like that. I think they have a curling link to Spain.
Hungary faced Scotland in the afternoon and hoped to get the first victory of the event. The Hungarians gathered together a great game and won 8-4.
After that, Hungarian Sasadie Aniko said, “After three losses, I am very happy because my soul and my confidence needed this victory.”
Her teammate Barkoczi Peter added: “We managed to bring the A Game by reading the ice better than in the previous games.”

In the evening, Scotland made up for the afternoon defeat, beating Slovakia, ages 6-3, partly due to four consecutive single steels.
Hungary met Türkiye in the evening and maintained his form in the afternoon to win 7-4. This was Türkiye’s second loss, as they lost 5-9 against South Korea. With that victory, South Korea maintained a perfect record with four victories and no losses.
