Everything starring Stephen Graham (boiling point, this is Britain) is gritty, persuasive and absolutely nerve-wracking. The new four-part series stars an actor who co-written with Jack Thorne as his teenage son (Owen Cooper) is a father accused of murdering a school friend. Just like the boiling point, every episode was shot in one long, consecutive shot, giving no reprieve from a sense of all-consuming panic and claustrophobic tension. Certainly not someone who falls after a long day, but it’s a powerful viewing with incredible performances tackling insidious social issues that affect young men.
